This Old Thing is a podcast dedicated to the stories woven into the clothes we wear. Hosted by Bay Garnett, the Queen of Thrift, the show dives into the wardrobes of cultural icons, uncovering the sentimental, stylish, and secondhand gems that have shaped their lives. Through these conversations, listeners not only gain insight into the personal histories of guests like Paloma Faith, Rachel Weisz, Charlotte Tilbury, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, but also pick up essential tips on sustainable fashion, thrifting, and the art of secondhand style.
The brand identity needed to reflect the playful yet timeless energy of thrift culture, capturing both nostalgia and a modern sensibility. I designed a flexible visual system spanning podcast artwork, social media assets, and digital branding—ensuring that each episode and guest announcement felt fresh while staying true to Bay’s signature aesthetic. Bold yet inviting typography, layered textures, and a warm, editorial-inspired color palette bring the brand to life across platforms.
From logo creation to digital branding, the goal was to create a visual language that reflects the heart of the podcast—storytelling through fashion, the joy of discovery, and the enduring charm of secondhand style.
